Welcome to My Passion

We have too much stuff!  Who's with me? It's a problem....an epidemic actually in this great country of ours.  Stuff is too easy to acquire....too prevalent, too cheap, too much.

One of my favorite books, "It's Here Somewhere" by Alice Fulton and Pauline Hatch, reminds us of an old-fashioned quote that needs to be altered for our day.
Remember "A Place for Everything and Everything in it's Place?" Remember how our grandmothers used to say that to keep the house and family organized? Well, now that idea of "being organized" is severely hindered because WE HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF!  So, Alice and Pauline have changed the phrase.  Now we have to say
A PLACE FOR EVERY KEEPER....and EVERY KEEPER IN IT'S PLACE!
Hence the title for this blog
A Place for Every Keeper
I am passionate about organizing but I also have come to realize that because of our affluence epidemic we can no longer just organize.  Organizing needs to be mixed with dejunking or getting rid of our extra, easily-acquired stuff that we no longer need, want or use.
On this blog, I will be sharing my thoughts and how-to ideas about how to figure out what really are keepers in our lives and then how to organize them to be easy to find and then how to use the spaces in our lives to their maximum efficiency.
Welcome to my passion!!
